Katie has been an attorney since 2004. Her practice is located in Thousand Oaks, California. She also has an office in Ventura. Her predominate area of practice is family law, family law mediations, and collaborative divorce. Katie provides legal services for individuals in divorces (dissolutions), parentage matters, child custody, child support, spousal support (alimony), and property disputes.
Katie was named as one of the 40 under Forty in 2019 by both the Greater Conejo Valley Chamber of Commerce and the Pacific Business Times.
Katie grew up in Simi Valley. She graduated from La Reina High School in Thousand Oaks and then received her B.A. from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo.
Katie obtained her Juris Doctor from Southwestern University School of Law where she served as a notes and comments editor for the Journal of Law & Trade in the Americas, and as Justice for the Sammis Chapter of Phi Alpha Delta. She is the author of a published law journal article titled “Global Rule One: SAG’s Answer to Runaway Production”.
Katie is a Past President of the Ventura County Bar Association (VCBA) and the Immediate Past President of the Jerome H. Benson Inns of Court. She is also a member of the Ventura County Family Law Bar Association and the Women Lawyers of Ventura County.
Katie is the past Chairwoman of the California State Bar’s Young Lawyer Association (CYLA) and the past American Bar Association (ABA) Young Lawyer District Representative of Southern California.
